Late Summer Walk at Fenn’s and Whixall Moss

A Natural History Walk across the Mosses with Natural England Volunteer, Stephen Barlow. Stephen has an in-depth knowledge of the flora and Fauna of the Mosses so the Walk is ideal for people new to the Mosses and also for those seeking to improve their knowledge. The Event is Free but it is essential to book as it is limited to 20 places. The Walk is suitable for all ages but the terrain can be rather rough so reasonable fitness is necessary and strong footwear is advised. Unfortunately it is not suitable for Wheelchair users. The Walk will last approximately 3 hours and will start at the Manor House, Natural Englands Base.  Meeting time is 1:30pm for a 2.00pm start. Participants are advised to bring along a cold drink and sun protection.  Binoculars are recommended if you have them.  There will be ample opportunity to take photographs too.
